Grants & Scholarships
The Gamma Iota Sigma Foundation was created to support students regardless of means or background. The Gamma Iota Sigma Foundation has created scholarships and grants to support Gamma Iota Sigma members in the areas of Professional Development, Chapter Support, Mental Wellness, and Accessibility.

Professional Attire Scholarships
- -Apply for a $150 Gift Card for Professional Attire
- -The GIS Foundation helps remove financial barriers so students can show up with confidence and professionalism
- -Fall deadline: September 8, 2025
Chapter Development Grants (Updated)
- -Submit the Chapter Development Application; additional requirements apply based on funding type.
- -Conference Travel Grants: Up to $500 for Annual (Due September 8, 2025)) or $250 for Regional Conference (Due February 5, 2026)
- -Chapters may apply solely for registration fees up to a maximum of $500.
- -Program Funding: Up to $1,000 for chapter events, initiatives, or programs with a submitted proposal.
- -Membership Dues: Up to $1,000 for new member dues; fall deadline Nov 15, spring deadline Apr 15.
Exam Fees Grant
- -Get help covering insurance, risk management, or actuarial exam costs
- -Must apply and provide proof of exam completion
- -Open to GIS members
